Refundable Entry Fee? 

I've never heard of it before either.  NW Running League will be the first to offer a fully refundable entry fee to the Fall Finale 5k.  Here is how it works:
  • If you signed up for Fall Finale 5k on or after January 10, 2010 AND before September 1, 2010, you can be eligible for a full refund if:
  • You have not participated in any league approved race Year-To-Date AND
  • You are no longer able to participate at the Fall Finale 5k due to injury or any other reason
  • If you fall into the above two conditions, you MUST email Alan at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by no later than September 1, 2010 and a full refund of the entry fee (what you paid) will be given to you, no questions asked.  (You will not be able to participate in the Fall Finale 5k if you receive a refund without registering again for the race.)
  • If you do not email Alan by September 1, 2010 and are still not able to participate in the Fall Finale 5k, you have one more chance to get 50% of your money back.  You can email Alan by no later than September 15, 2010 and you will get 50% of your money back.  (You will not be able to participate in the Fall Finale 5k if you receive a refund without registering again for the race.)

All Race directors want you to sign up early, now you can with a peace of mind knowing that if you are no longer able to participate, then you can get a part or all of your money back.
